Close to Montalcino, famous for it’s Brunello wine, we find this stunning medieval castle. Surrounded with a vineyard, owned and run by the lovely Greene family. This is the perfect setting for a yoga retreat. Beautifully restored back to it’s former glory, Castello Di Potentino offers their guests both comfort and charm.
In the environment, we find the onyx romanesque abbey of Sant Antimo, the Renaissance City jewel of Pienza and, the famous gardens of La Foce created by Iris Origo. The impressive medieval towns of Pitigliano, Sorano and Siena are also nearby. The hot springs and spas of Saturnia, Bagno Vignoni and Bagni San Fillippo are easy day trips.
In addition to yogasessions twice a day, there will be al fresco meals overlooking the rolling hills of Seggiano, breathtaking walks and excursions around the valley. Alternatively, we can highly recommend doing absolutely nothing by the pool.
In our home away from home, we find several sitting rooms to relax and there’s also a wonderful library to explore.
All 10 rooms are different but have the superb ambiance in common. Several single rooms are available, at additional cost.
The region has long been famous for its quality food and wine. And, some yogic wine tasting is on the retreat schedule for sure as our hosts make their own award winning wines!
Yoga retreat in Italy: Your Daily Programme
Below you can see what a ‘typical’ day could look like on our yoga retreat in Italy. We will give you the full program of the week once you arrive. We’ll also leave enough space for adjustments in the schedule, just to be open for the unexpected and for you, to find enough room to simply relax. We might add a workshop or go for a guided walk, all depending on the weather conditions and overall group interest. Being open and ready to explore is what most participants have in common and what makes our weeks so incredibly special.
This is your time, your holiday, so if you want to skip a class or a workshop that is absolutely fine. Although we believe you will find the program stimulating and fun, primarily we want you to relax and enjoy yourself.
Three hours of yoga a day may sound way too much, especially when you have never done yoga before or when you’re a beginner. Not to worry, this is not a boot camp and we’ll make sure you stay within your limits.

Rachel took care of us in all senses and I admire her genuine humbleness.
I loved the yoga classes, ALL of them, but also the rest of the program.
In Sabina itself is located in a beautiful area, just perfect for a yoga retreat. It’s cozy and decorated with very good taste, full of details and the yoga platform is wonderful!
I came back for a second time on a Revealing Vajra Yoga Retreat so that should say enough!
Everyone takes care of you and that is a wonderful feeling to have!
