Marrakesh, an ancient city of weathered pink buildings, romantic restaurants, museums, palaces, bustling souks (markets) and upscale shops. It’s hard to believe that Quaryati is located at just half an hour drive from the Medina. You will find yourself in a different world.
Each air-conditioned room and suite has a traditional Moroccan-style decor and furniture. Some of the rooms include a private balcony and views of the High Atlas. “Just the right place to really unwind, forget the Stress and Relax”!
Rooms are not luxurious but spacious and well equipped. Especially the suites are worthwhile the mention.
The owner of Quaryati, Françoise, has an incredible eye for detail so all that you could wish for is already there.

Lovely food is part of the yoga retreat experience. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are all included during this retreat.
The cuisine in Morocco is simple but delicious. Using fresh ingredients from the on-site organic gardens or local markets. We can cater for gluten free, dairy free and vegetarian. We have brought our own chefs in to train the local staff and can now truly say that our retreats will bring you vibrant food!
During this week, you can taste every single dish that Morocco is famous for. From the typical tajines to pastilla and harera soup to delicious desserts. All freshly made, with care and attention.
If you have an allergy to a particular ingredient, let us know, and a separate dish will be made for you.
No alcohol is served during the week at our shared lunches and dinners and we would appreciate if you do not bring your own wine to consume at the dinner table.
On Friday evening, there is the possibility to have alcohol during our closing dinner.

Different Yoga Styles
I teach different styles of yoga, and offer several guidelines /techniques for meditation during this week.
Starting slowly with Hatha, Yin, Yin/Yang and Restorative. Building it up towards a more Vinyasa inspired class. At least one class will focus on alignment and one class is Kundalini yoga.
All levels are welcome, I know how to adjust all poses.
For me, it’s important that you (learn how to) FEEL in class. That you know WHAT you are actually doing in a pose.
That you can find focus and stillness in a posture.
This means some classes will be very tough (and very inspiring 🙂 ) if you are used to fast paced Vinyasa classes.
I don’t take life all too seriously, nor do I see yoga as the most serious thing in the world. It’s very possible that I even make a joke here or there during our classes together…
Pranayama (breathing), meditation and yoga philosophy are part of all my lessons.
Asana wise, I started my own journey about 10 years ago with Ashtanga, got very inspired by Iyengar trained teachers and currently enjoy receiving guidance from and being very inspired by Sarah Powers. Every year, I follow at least 2 to 4 (silent) retreats and teacher trainings to recharge, to learn and to make sure my lessons and style keep being different, every single time.

Transfers on the start and end date of the retreat, from and to the airport and Quaryati are included in the price of the yoga retreat as we like you to fully relax and not worry about a thing anymore, after your arrival at the airport.
The airport to fly into can be Marrakech-Menara (RAK)
From there, transfers will be arranged for you. You just show up at the airport, we do all the rest!
Depending on your country of departure, there will be different airlines available to fly into Morocco. US and Canadian participants will have to fly into Casablanca first.
In Europe; Ryanair, EasyJet, Iberia and Vueling usually offer very competitive rates, so please check on their website for fares from your country of departure.
For the departure day, we have breakfast together and no program as such is foreseen. The all inclusive program ends after breakfast. We end our classes on Friday evening.
Good to know! It takes between 1 and 3 hours to get out of the airport on arrival. And you will need at least two hours prior to departure for passport control and security checks. Afternoon departure flights are therefor advised, for your own comfort.
You can stay at Quaryati, before and after your retreat. Just shoot me an email to find out prices and availability.
There are no refunds or reductions if you decide to join later or leave the retreat earlier.
What to bring on this yoga retreat in Morocco
Part of the anticipation and enjoyment of the trip is considering what you are going to be doing and planning and packing. This includes happy anticipation and mindful preparation for the nice retreat you are going to participate in.
Main thing is not to worry, simply enjoy the preparations.
Don’t worry about wearing the same outfit more than once. This is a retreat where you do not need to dress to impress. Wear whatever feels comfortable. Don’t worry about forgetting an important item either, you’re going to Morocco, so practically anything can be bought for you, should this be necessary.

What to do next? Booking this “yoga retreat Morocco”
Prices include full board accommodation, transfers, all yoga lessons, workshops, excursions, guided tours, walks, one full-length treatment and hamman per person.
1350€ per person for shared accommodation for one week
1495€ per person for private accommodation for one week
1675€ per person for private accommodation/ per person to share a suite (couples)
If you are a single traveler, no worries, most people are, so we can set you up with a roommate to share the room.
You can book any flight that is convenient for you.
Ideally, you arrive on Saturday evening, before dinner so before 8PM. We start our lessons on Sunday.
On the departure day, take into account a 35 minute drive to the airport and 2 hour waiting time at the airport. Therefore, very early departures are not advised, for your own comfort.
The 500 Euro deposit is non refundable.
There are no partial refunds for late arrivals or if you need to leave the retreat early.
Balance refunds depend on the timing of your cancellation:
A 90% refund will be provided on cancellations, up to 60 days prior to the start date of the booked retreat.
A 50% refund will be provided on cancellations between 30-59 days prior to the start date of the booked retreat.
No refunds will be provided on cancellation between 29-0 days prior to the start date of the booked retreat.

Revealing Vajra, amazing yoga retreats”, that’s what I read beforehand, and now, I can only agree. The program was a perfect mix of yoga, sightseeing and ‘self time’. The location is very beautiful and peaceful. The retreat was very relaxing and there was no competitiveness whatsoever. Everyone was just doing his or her thing. Rachel is a great teacher, giving clear instructions for all levels and giving very varied lesses. Every single class was a new experience! The participants were a great mix of people from different countries and backgrounds. I very much enjoyed the spirit of respect and acceptance amongst ourselves for each and every person.
