I have really enjoyed every minute of the past week. Despite being pushed out of my safe little comfort zone at times. I feel rested, energised, focused, inspired but most of all, I feel confident, happy and relaxed. The variation of yoga styles has been great fun and very interesting. At times, challenging but at all times with humor and absolutely no pressure. The international group has been great fun with lots of interesting conversations, laughter and ‘silent’ moments in the mix. Thank you so much, I have absolutely loved every minute of it!

What You Will Enjoy

We start most days with yoga, pranayama (breathing exercises) and meditation.
During these morning sessions you will experience a variety of yoga styles so that you can find the ones that best suit you.
After savasana, we enjoy breakfast in the sun and you might have a nice massage at the Spa of Quaryati, one massage is part of your package already!

In the afternoon you will have some time for yourself, take a dip in the huge pool, enjoy a rejuvenating massage or read that book that’s been waiting for you for a while.

One day we will go an explore the Atlas Mountains, having lunch in the most typical place you can imagine.

A day tour to Marrakech is also on the program. For sure we’ll show you the famous Djemaa el-Fna, Marrakesh’s main square and the souks, but we’ll also take you to the less known spots of this amazing city.

There is one silence day on the program. Let the silence dazzle you and experience its strength. Many people are hesitant about this part of the program but afterwards, our participants often tell us that it was one their favorite moments of the holiday.

Sunset is the time for the evening yoga classes. They will balance body and mind and above all, will give you a deep sense of peace and rest. After class you can enjoy, another wonderful dinner.

This is your time, your holiday, so if you want to skip a class or a workshop that is absolutely fine. Although we believe you will find the program stimulating and fun, primarily we want you to relax and enjoy yourself.

Rachel is an excellent yoga teacher and is able to easily adopt her teaching to the varied abilities of the group. There is a variety of classes and trips/activities available. All well planned by Rachel which guarantees a week that is in equal measure both stimulating, inspiring and relaxing.

Marrakesh, an ancient city of weathered pink buildings, romantic restaurants, museums, palaces, bustling souks (markets) and upscale shops. It’s hard to believe that Quaryati is located at just half an hour drive from the Medina.  You will find yourself in a different world.

Each air-conditioned room and suite has a traditional Moroccan-style decor and furniture. Some of the rooms include a private balcony and views of the High Atlas. “Just the right place to really unwind, forget the Stress and Relax”!

Rooms are spacious, well equipped and all have ensuite bathrooms.

The owner of Quaryati, Françoise, has an incredible eye for detail so all that you could wish for is already there.

Guests will not only enjoy the grounds of Quaryati, the outdoor areas including a lovely pool, patio, private terraces, but this retreat includes some amazing day-trips to the surrounding sites.

A guided day in Marrakesh, an awesome tour exploring the nearby Atlas Mountains, and more!

Moroccan cuisine

Lovely food is part of the yoga retreat experience. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are all included during this retreat.
The cuisine in Morocco is absolutely delicious. Using fresh ingredients from the on-site organic gardens or local markets.
We can cater for gluten free, dairy free, vegetarian and vegan; this is not part of the Moroccan culture so meals might be more simple than what you are used to. There’s also the option to eat meat/fish on some days. We have brought our own chefs in to train the local staff and can now truly say that our retreats will bring you vibrant food!

During this week, you can taste every single dish that Morocco is famous for. From the typical tajines to pastilla and harera soup to delicious desserts. All freshly made, with care and attention.

If you have an allergy to a particular ingredient, let us know, and a separate dish will be made for you.
No alcohol is served during the week at our shared lunches and dinners and we would appreciate if you do not bring your own wine to consume at the dinner table.
On our last evening, there is the possibility to have alcohol during our closing dinner.

Rachel Bonkink

I will be your personal yoga and meditation teacher and, travel guide on this yoga retreat in Morocco. Excited to show you why I decided to live in this magical country for four years!

You will go home after this week, with a mental back pack, filled with practical tools to help you maintain and cultivate Balance in your daily life.

As the owner of Revealing Vajra, I am teaching for over a decade now and I do what I do because it is who I am – it is what I love to do. Connecting and inspiring people in anyway I can. As a corporate mindset coach and trainer, I work with the European Commission, Sanofi, Resilience and many other companies. Since November 2022, I live in Dubai and have been teaching wellbeing projects to local companies.

That’s quite a statement … I know… But, what I bring across is so much more than bending forwards and backwards. As I have a worked both as a COO and consultant before founding Revealing Vajra, I know what stress is. I know what deadlines are, real deadlines, handling huge budgets-with a lot of zeros, pleasing your C-level customers, keeping your corporate tribe happy- our tribe had 100+ people on the payroll, … the works….

Combine this with many years as a personal life coach, my shiatsu practises and ongoing yoga teacher trainings and personal retreats….

And you get someone in front of you who is able to organise retreats that are very different.

It is this unique combination – a deep understanding of corporate life and the corporate ladder, alongside a vast experience of mind-body trainings and many personal retreats, plus the expertise of organising over 100 of my own yoga and meditation retreats – that gives these holidays and retreats a very POWERFUL edge.

I’m here to support you and to help you to focus on enjoying your practice and gaining new insights into your body, mind and the yoga philosophy.

These holidays are so much more than just a getaway. These retreats can be truly life changing and empower you to become a more healthy and happy person.

Rachel’s retreat is exceptional.
She has taken time to choose the perfect location and put together a week that is restful, rejuvenating and results in a very complete and satisfying week.
Really enjoyed experiencing various yoga styles and learning from her. She is a very kind and giving soul. We had a great time and would highly recommend one of her retreats. I plan to come again!

Different Yoga Styles

I teach different styles of yoga, and offer several guidelines /techniques for meditation during this week.

Starting slowly with Hatha, Yin, Yin/Yang and more Restorative. At least one class will focus on alignment and one class is Kundalini yoga. Although we will have at least 20 hours of yoga, doing the asanas (postures) is not the most important thing on this retreat.

All levels are welcome. You can follow the class with any kind of injury and you do not need to be flexible 🙂  I know how to adjust all poses.

For me, it’s important that you (learn how to) FEEL in class. That you know WHAT you are actually doing in a pose.
That you can find focus and stillness in a posture.
This means some classes will be very tough (and very inspiring 🙂  ) if you are used to fast paced Vinyasa classes.

I don’t take life all too seriously, nor do I see yoga as the most serious thing in the world. It’s very possible that I even make a joke here or there during our classes together…

Pranayama (breathing), meditation and yoga philosophy are part of all my lessons.

Asana wise, I started my own journey about 15 years ago with Ashtanga, got very inspired by Iyengar trained teachers, as well as all the main yin yoga teachers out there.

Having followed personal real life teacher trainings with Paul Grilley, Sarah Powers, Bernie Clarke and many others.
Meditation wise, I follow as many trainings as possible with lama Alan Wallace, Jack Kornfield and Rick Hanson.

I am happy to discuss your expectations and see if this holiday is right for you. I welcome any and all questions or concerns you may have and invite you to email me at: or just give me a call on +32 476 204 121. Alternatively, you can use this form to contact me.

On her retreats, Rachel creates a safe space where you can check in with yourself. The venues are always amazing, the food is glorious and the people she works with all radiate a loving vibe.
It usually doesn't take long to create a strong group bond with the other participants as well.
For me, the meditations and yoga classes are so powerful. With her calm, down-to-earth yet spiritual approach she always gets me in a more balanced state. What I love, is that humor and a cheeky comment are never far away: "Smile, it's only yoga!". On the other hand, you can expect some feelings and emotions to come up. It's not always easy. But you're doing the work and you can only be grateful for the loving and safe environment. There's no doubt you will go home feeling recharged, enlightened and more at ease in body, mind and speech.

Quaryati is a beautiful place to have a retreat. Rachel teaches a variety of yoga and meditation, so there is something for everyone.
The food; in one word 'fantastic', even when you are vegan, as I am.
The trips that are organised are really great.
Rachel makes you feel at ease all the time, all I had to do was relax and enjoy, you can do as much or as little as you wish.
